Monthly/New Members Meetings

Open Meetings

These occur once per month, apart from August when no meeting is held. The meetings are normally on the first Tuesday of the month but to be sure, please check the dates. They are held at Craig y Don Community Centre, Queen's Road, Craig y Don, Llandudno, LL30 1TE. There are good bus services close to the venue and there is plenty of on-site parking.

The Open Meetings are open to all members plus visitors to our U3A. We ask for a nominal entrance fee, usually £1, to cover the cost of hiring the hall and providing refreshments.

New Members Welcome Events

These events provide an opportunity, in an informal setting with refreshments, for new members to meet each other, socialise and make new friends. Also welcome are non-members who are interested in finding out more about our U3A and the U3A movement.

Each meeting includes a short DVD from our U3A National Office which gives an excellent overview of what the U3A movement is all about. There is then an opportunity to ask questions about the U3A generally or about our U3A in particular. Afterwards, more refreshments and the chance to meet and chat with some longer standing members who can also help further with any requests or any other questions.

Open MeetingSally ClementsSally will be giving an illustrated talk about her once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ethiopa. This is a part of the World which is not so well known and where there is so much more than the little we see in the news. Sally is an enthusiastic speaker and the talk is set to be interesting and entertaining.
